Frequently asked questions

PhotoPop can't access my photos

PhotoPop needs access to your selected photos so it can build memory decks from your photo library.

To update the permission, open the Settings app on your iPhone and go to Privacy & Security > Photos > PhotoPop. Choose Full Access, or choose Limited Access and tap Edit Selected Photos to pick which photos PhotoPop can use.

After changing the permission, close and reopen PhotoPop so it can load your photos.

How does multiplayer work?

One player hosts the match and shares the six-character join code with the other player.

The other player enters that code to join the match.

Both players need an internet connection and the current version of PhotoPop.

I'm having trouble joining a match

Confirm both players are online and have a working internet connection.

Re-enter the six-character join code and check for mistyped characters.

Close PhotoPop completely and reopen it on both devices.

If the old session has expired, create a new match and share the new code.

Surprise Me isn't showing my memories

PhotoPop uses your photo library to create a deck for Surprise Me and memories.

If photos do not appear, verify the Photos permission for PhotoPop in Settings > Privacy & Security > Photos, then try again.

How are my photos used?

Your photos are used only to provide PhotoPop functionality.
